Essential :- 1st Class M.Sc. in any branch of Life
Sciences with at least 3 years of Research Experience in
bioinformatics. Or Ph. D in Life Sciences with research
experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics.
Desirable :- Experience in protein informatics,
such as homology modeling, protein docking, protein-protein
interactions, protein database development and systems biology.

The
incumbent will be required to initiate Research activities in
the area of Biomedical Informatics at the Centre, should assist
scientist in the Institute and regional medical colleges in
using bioinformatics tools for their research activities. The
incumbent will be required to analyze the research data
generated by the institute and design databases using the
research data. |

incumbent will be required to assist the senior scientist of the
centre for maintaining and extending the activities of the
Biomedical Informatics Centre. He/She should assist other
Scientists and research scholars of the host institute and
regional medical colleges in implementing and using
bioinformatics tools for research activities by arranging
workshops, short courses etc. |
